What would it take for you to feel free? Physically, emotionally, spiritually, or even financially… what does freedom look like to you? Have you taken the time to think about it?
For most of us, there’s some thing, or many things standing in the way of our freedom… or so we think.
But what I find interesting is that most of the things that we think will solve our problems don’t. People with more money are still suffering. People in loving relationships, or in perfect physical health, or with more skills or with perfect bodies… all suffer.
So why is it that we think any of those things will solve our problems?
Our guest today is Emilio Diez Barroso. He was a lifelong seeker—seeking recognition, achievement, love, success, and finally, the ultimate carrot: enlightenment. He also has a masters in spiritual psychology and is the CEO of NALA Investments.
Emilio had it all; even growing up, his whole life was pretty extreme privilege. But even he wasn’t living in a state of peace. Eventually, he realized all the seeking was actually avoiding his own sense of unworthiness. When he stopped avoiding, he was finally able to see his true nature, and now he wants to alleviate the suffering in the world.
